Fre Atlast  is a drummer, songwriter, and teacher. She works with babies, children, teens, and adults in a variety of community settings including schools, rehab centers, colleges, spiritual centers, and nursing homes. She performs with numerous groups, including Iabas.  She is a co-founder of the Elders Drum Project. When Fre is home in Woodstock, she leads a weekly drum circle which has been active since 1994.  Fre is a co-founder and co-producer of the Happen'n.



For the "Happen'ns" Fre teaches these workshops :

Beginner's Drumming:  Learn the basic technique for playing various drums and percussion, drum circle etiquette, and how to tap into your wild woman drummer.


Power of the Drum:  Learn techniques for developing spiritual healing drumming practices. We will also cover Drumming and Meditation, and the Rhythms of the Seasons.


Teaching the Teachers:  This workshop will guide women who are ready to lead drum circles in their own community. We will also cover techniques for working with children and teens. Many helpful hints will be shared.
